Looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon in Southeast Texas?


Here are 20+ of our favorite things to do on a Sunday in SETX, with the Sunday hours only.


1. PICNIC AT CATTAIL MARSH | 5305 Tyrrell Park Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705

Pack a picnic and go to Cattail Marsh to watch the birds and alligators. You can also check out the Beaumont Botanical Gardens while you're there. Both are free and open to the public from 6 am-9 pm.

2. VISIT HOP AVENUE BREWING COMPANY | 75 Ferry Dr, Bridge City, TX

Hop Avenue is the new kid on the block when it comes to breweries in Southeast Texas and they got it right all the way around. From the vibe to the beer and delicious wood-fired pizza, it's one of the best in the region. Open Sundays from 11 am-9 pm.


3. VISIT BUCKSTIN BREWING COMPANY | 1211 Boston Ave, Nederland, TX

While you are on the Southeast Texas Brewery Trail, stop by Buckstin Brewing Company in Nederland (and soon to be in Beaumont too). Buckstin is the pro when it comes to perfectly crafted beer and pub fare, taking it up a notch when it comes to flavor and variety. Open Sundays 12 pm-9 pm.

4. STRUGGLE STREET BREWING COMPANY | 2140 Calder Ave, Beaumont, TX

The last stop on the end-of-the-weekend struggle bus brewery tour is Struggle Street Brewing Company in Beaumont. This brewery serves up some of the most unique brews in Southeast Texas, with flavors like Dragonfruit, Prickly Pear, and Hazelnut Praline. Open Sundays from 12-6 pm.

4. GO BOWLING OR PLAY LASER TAG

Star Bowling | 4180 Pinkston Dr, Beaumont

Not only can you bowl a few rounds, but you can also get some of the best shrimp you will ever eat! Star Bowling has outstanding food and we love their $3 Tuesday Deal- $3 per game, $3 per shoe rental, $3 funnel cakes, and $3 bottled beers. Open Sundays 12 pm-12 am.

Maxbowl | 3500 Regional Dr, Port Arthur

We went to Maxbowl for the first time this year, and it blew us away. Not only do they have bowling, but they also have a two-story laser tag area and a killer arcade, with several VR games. They also have a full bar and restaurant. Open Sundays 12-10 pm.


Crossroads Bowling Center | 4370 Dowlen Rd, Beaumont

Our favorite thing about Crossroads is the Kids Bowl Free Program in the summer. They also have pretty good food for a bowling alley, a full bar, and a bunch of great deals throughout the week. Open Sundays 12-10 pm.

5. GOLF & BRUNCH AT 5 UNDER | 5945 College St, Beaumont

Stop by for brunch and stay to hit some golf balls or rent a swing suite where you can try out the simulators and play zombie dodgeball and other fun activities. 5 Under offers a variety of special brunch items including their award-winning Shrimp & Grits, avocado toast, and more. Boozy brunch is better with $4 mimosas and the best Bloody Mary in town. Open Sundays 9 am-10 pm.

6. THROW AXES AND OTHER SHARP OBJECTS

Avenue Axe | 1126 Port Neches Ave, Port Neches

Avenue Axe has the obvious- axe throwing- but they also have a full bar and regularly scheduled live music. Open Sundays 12-7 pm

Hooligan's Axe Throwing | 737 N Main St, Lumberton

Sunday Fun Day means 10% off axe throwing. Open Sundays 3-8 pm.


60 minutes (per person)- $21.95 Axe throwing on digital targets with six game choices, including training from one of their axeperts. Ages 8 and up.


90 minutes (per person)- $29.95 Axe throwing on digital targets with six game choices, including training from one of their axeperts. Ages 8 and up.


7. GRAB A GLASS OF WINE

Free State Cellars Winery | 4702 Tejas Parkway, Orange

Open Sundays from 1-5 pm, with great live music playing every weekend. "Top 5" when it comes to best vibes in Southeast Texas.

Ceccoli Vineyards | 14773 Coon Rd, Unit 2, Winnie

Formerly Vine 2 Wine Vineyard, the winery is under new ownership and they have tons of great events planned. Stop by for a Sunday fun day from 2-6 pm.


Frascone Winery & Vineyard/Bistro | 308 Bayside Dr, Anahuac

Open Sundays from 12-6 pm.


Meridian Wine Bar | 1228 Port Neches Avenue, Port Neches

Open Sundays from 12-6 pm.


Hammered Honey Farms and Mead | 2801 Linscomb Rd, Orange

Open Sundays from 12-5 pm.


8. SPINDLETOP-GLADYS CITY BOOMTOWN MUSEUM | 5550 Jimmy Simmony Blvd, Beaumont

Go back in time to the Beaumont Oil Boom at Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum in Beaumont. Open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am-5 pm and Sundays from 1-5 pm. Admission $5 for adults, $2 for kids ages 6-12, free for kids under 5. Active duty military and LU students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni of LU and LIT are admitted free with valid ID.


9. VILLAGE CREEK STATE PARK | 8854 Park Rd. 74, Lumberton

Go canoeing or paddleboarding at Village Creek State Park in Lumbertom, where they have rentals- $7 per hour for paddleboards and $20 per hour for canoes (8 am - 10 pm).


10. SEA RIM STATE PARK | 19335 TX-87, Sabine Pass

Go crabbing at Sea Rim State Park (open 6 am - 10 pm). Bring your chicken, string, and a stick, and you're good to go. No fishing license is required in Texas State Parks. If you don't like crabbing, you could also go fishing, search for seashells, or just enjoy the beautiful breeze the beach always has. Open 8 am-10 pm daily. Admission $3.

13. MAIN EVENT | 5380 Rexora Dr, Beaumont

Stop by Main Event in Beaumont to play in the arcade, shoot pool, go bowling, play laser tag, get ice cream, eat lunch, and more. Open Sundays 10 am-12 am.

15. COLORADO CANYON MINI GOLF | 6110 Folsom Dr, Beaumont

Stop by Colorado Canyon for a round of mini golf, a slice of pizza, to play in the arcade, or to try your hand at sluicing! Open Sundays 1-8 pm.


16. MANNING'S TEXAS ON WHEELS | 5735 College St, Beaumont

Go rollerskating at Manning's Texas on Wheels skating rink. Open Sundays from 2-6 pm.


17. SOUTHEAST TEXAS PARKS

Visit one of the 15+ splash pads in SETX and more than 40 parks (check individual park pages for hours).


18. PICKETT HOUSE & HERITAGE VILLAGE | 157 Private Rd 6000, Woodville

Stop by the Pickett House for lunch (11 am - 3 pm) and then tour the Heritage Village Museum (9 am-3 pm) in Woodville. Picket House serves a delicious family-style meal, and the museum, located next door, is fantastic. If you need to walk off lunch, there's also a nature trail on site. And make sure you don't sleep on their seasonal Saturday Farmers' Market, which takes place at Heritage Village.

19. VICTORIA'S CANDY SHOP | 2949 College St Suite 235, Beaumont

Victoria's Candy Shop is a one-of-a-kind spot offering tons of options when it comes to candy, gifts, and the most beautiful pinatas! Open Sundays 11 am-6 pm.

20. GATOR COUNTRY | 21159 FM 365 Rd, Beaumont

Hold alligators and play in the splash pad at Gator Country in Beaumont. They now serve food, have birds to hold, and a petting zoo. Open Sundays from10 am-5 pm.
